Tiling The Bathroom

After a couple of hours of trying to decide what kind/color tile to get, we left our local home improvement store equipped with everything we needed to start the long awaited bathroom remodel. Actually, we had already started several months ago. Anyway, this is a small bathroom, really only room for one person to work. That got me off the hook right fast. Hubby jumped right in and now, Monday night, he is taking a break. The tiling is almost finished, just five more tiles and that's it. We just have to figure out what to do with the big hole in the wall where the tile ends and uh, nothing begins.
I have a bunch of great ideas. You see, that's my job. I get the ideas and then try to impart them to hubby to make them a reality. He says, "When you think, I get into trouble." Trouble meaning I think it and he gets to do the work. I must say, over the years he's become very good at figuring out just what it is my brain is seeing. They say once you live with someone long enough, you kinda blurr into one. I think that may be what's happening. The only thing is, most of the time, things look much better in my brain than they do here in the real world.
So this weekend I have been going between my sofa (where the computer is) and the bathroom to offer my help. Just between us, I am really checking to make sure he's still working and not eating pizza or something, but I do have to keep up appearances! I did get to hand him a few tiles and I think once I even squeezed out the sponge. So I did my part. He doesn't allow me to play with the tools.
Considering that neither one of us knew what we were doing, it all came out pretty good. We did have to exchange the grout, but that was a good excuse for me to look at vanities, fixtures, mirrors, etc. See, my brain already has other troubles just waiting for my dear hubby!
